HURRICANE SANDY AFTERMATH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - MULCH MADNESS!
Send to friend
Wed, 11/28/2012 - 10:00am
Presented by:

As the days grow colder, plant beds are in desparate need of new soil and mulch to replace all of the plant beds washed away by Hurricane Sandy. If you’d like to join Park staff for this important recovery, we will be announcing the dates for the next opportunity soon.
Those interested can contact us by email at volunteer@hrpt.ny.gov, or by phone 917-661-8751. After you sign up, you will receive an email with details. Please be patient as our offices have experienced some internet and phone outages. Be sure you have received your confirmation email before you come to the Park.
And if you are able to provide your financial support, become a member and give what you can.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, we have been positively overwhelmed by hundreds of requests to help restore Hudson River Park. Last Friday, over 125 of you helped to clear the debris that littered the TriBeCa and Greenwich Village greenspaces. Your involvement is helping to make your Park stronger and more beautiful than it has ever been before!
The Trust has been working around the clock to complete damage and safety assessments in the still-closed areas of Hudson River Park. As we gain a deeper understanding of the work to be done, it is clear that many Post-Sandy gardening fixes will need to wait until the warming weather of early spring. We hope that you will be able to join us for these future recovery efforts!
THE PARK NEEDS YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER, THANK YOU!
