Governors Island is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October 10. Enjoy more than five miles of car-free biking, relax in a hammock, play a free round of artist-designed miniature golf, see art exhibits, listen to concerts and much more. There are special events planned for every open day.
Ferries run from Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge Park's Pier 6 every weekend. The ferry ride, admission to the Island and most activities are free. The ferry to Governors Island is free. Ferry service runs from Manhattan to Governors Island every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

To Governors Island: Manhattan ferries begin at 10:00AM and Brooklyn ferries begin at 11:00AM All schedules subject to change, so please check the website to be certain.
