They can't promise fireworks, but they can promise rocks. Join them for the long holiday weekend to paddle on the Youghiogheny River in western PA. The Lower Yough CL3 is an excellent river to test your solid CL2+ skills on as you negotiate the 14 names rapids. You'll find yourself peeling through Cucumber Rapid, bumping along in Camel and Walrus Rapid, losing count in Eddy Turn Rapid, and learning new tricks in Schoolhouse Rapid. Non-paddling friends also welcome. This trip will have something for everyone as the Ohiopyle, PA, area is home not only to great paddling but interesting cultural and historic sights. The Highlands region boasts outdoor adventures galore and you will also find some of the best and longest biking trails around! So bring your boat, your bike, your tent and your friends.
