Fleet Week is a week long celebration of the U.S. Navy hosted by the City of New York. During Fleet Week, approximately 15 U.S. Navy and foreign warships, as well as U.S. Coast guard Vessels, anchor in and around the city. The public is invited to tour some of the ships, as well as view military demonstrations and crew competitions.

All vessels in New York Harbor are invited to participate in the "Blessing of the Fleet." This will take place on Friday, June 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The blessings will be conducted in the Hudson River off Battery Park City in Lower Manhattan.

A Blessing of the Fleet is a maritime tradition practiced around the world. New York Harbor's blessing is open to all vessels including powerboats, sailboats, ferries, tugs, human paddle boats and others.

Row New York is offering “Learn to Row” Classes for adults this spring and summer in New York City (on Meadow Lake in Queens). FAQs for Adults (PDF)

Rowing is a great sport for people of all ages. This class will teach you the basic rowing stroke on indoor rowing machines, our training barge, and competitive racing shells (in Rowing 102).
