Join us for the New Amsterdam Village opening at Bowling Green Park! Free to the public, New Amsterdam Village includes Dutch canal houses, a windmill and a stage set up on an open, outside area. In the village some of the best known Dutch agricultural products and foods can be sampled and bought, including some our famous cheeses, herring, dollar pancakes also known as poffertjes, sirup wafels (stroopwafels), cut flowers, flower bulbs and green roofs.

By Car: Directions to South Beach, Parking Lot #1 (northern-most end of Boardwalk). Father Capadonno Blvd heading south, turn left (or east) onto Ocean Ave. Father Capadonno Blvd heading north, merge onto Drury Ave.
By Bus: From the Staten Island St George Ferry terminal, take the #51 bus, and exit at the Ocean Avenue stop. Walk one block towards the water and you'll find us. Located on South Beach at the end of the Boardwalk in Parking Lot #1.

Free public kayaking program on the sandy beach area in Fort Wadsworth.

A National Park Service historian will be o hand to describe what Henry Hudson saw.

Parking is available in Fort Wadsworth and signs will be posted directing people to the Beach area, or park your car at our usual place, parking lot #1 South Beach and follow the bike path or walk on the beach north to Fort Wadsworth's beach.
